It's been debated, over and over again...what age are we in? Some say we're in the age of Aquarius, some say we're in the age of Pieces, other MFs say, "don't nobody know". LOL! I say look at what surrounds you and the things that are happening around the world...gauge from that and then decide. Let's break some basic shit down first, shall we...
What is the Age of Aquarius?
The Age of Aquarius ushers in CHANGE. This change is associated with: social movement, equality and progress. Research shows, the sign of Aquarius would be affected in areas such as human rights, LGBTQ, acceptance and humanitarian efforts. And because of this, a LOT of people are WAKING UP to Spirituality. Hence...the "WOKE" Movement. Many people are being drawn into Spirituality, and the Age of Aquarius has a lot to do with it. This New Age we've come into, is very impressive. On December 21, 2020, both Saturn (planet of structure, discipline and hard work) and Jupiter (planet of expansion, growth, generosity) came into conjunction and met in the sign of Aquarius. This hasn't happened in 800 years!
Both Saturn and Jupiter are planets that help us move forward and influence whole generational shifts, but in different ways. The past two centuries, Jupiter and Saturn have been meeting in Earth Signs, but for the first time in 200 years, they will meet in an Air sign (Aquarius). Earth signs are associated with: money, physical resources external achievements, and advancements in technology, and connecting with others.
How will the Age of Aquarius affect us?
The Age of Aquarius will bring about big changes in the government, environmentalism, equality, world leadership, racial justice and equality. It was and is a time of big changes! Aquarius is associated with new ideas, progressive thought and shifts of societal structures. With the Aquarian age comes the advent of new technology, new genders, social media, space travel, technological advancements, ideological changes and the attempt at righting historical wrongs (think reparations wink). The conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn, brings in a new societal ethos, that slowly but surely, moves away from materialism and move towards Universalism and new ideologies. Who will be more affected by the Age of Aquarius? Social movements, equality and progress are a mark of Aquarian times. Aquarius is also the sign of humanitarianism. The fixed signs (moon or rising) that will be impacted the most will be the signs of: Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and of course Aquarius. If you're either of the aforementioned signs, then you can expect upheaval with the next few years. It will not be a "negative upheaval" but... you won't remain the same person you were.
The actual Age of Aquarius is something a little different, where the equinox moves into a new zodiac constellation. This has more to do with Astronomy than Astrology. To be honest, there is really no "agreed upon method" for how to calculate the start of astrological ages and no one really knows when astrological ages start. Among Astrologers, the general consensus is that astrological ages are approximately 2000 years long. We've been in the Age of Pieces for about the last 2000 years. Unfortunately, there is no cut off date for when one ends and the another begins.
Some astrologers believe the Age of Aquarius actually began in 1996 when Uranus entered Aquarius. Other astrologers believe that the Age of Aquarius didn't began until 2024, when Pluto entered Aquarius. Regardless of when it began, it cannot be denied that each new winter solstice represents a new beginning, and new energy! Which ushers in an atmosphere "ripe" for changes. This energy that comes in with the Age of Aquarius, won't be a "quick fix" energy that will come and go with the months, this energy will unravel over years. Note: Whatever direction you were moving towards in 2021, will continue over your life for the next two decades!
It's been recommended that any projects or tasks you've put off, should be taken care of and "wrapped up". Rid yourself of toxic relationships! Give yourself a clean slate before taking on new endeavors! The Age of Aquarius brings in the catch phrase: "new year, new me". But actually, it's the "change your life" kind of energy! If you stick to your goals today, you can make a lot of magic happen in the next couple years! With the universe on your side, you can't go wrong! Get out there in the world! Be the change you want to see! Make shit happen! Make shit shake! And add a lil love to it!
